A Filipino Feat of Fortitude

2 June 2018

“Don’t worry, my love, we will have plenty of time”, had been the words that departed my arrogant smile as I calmly entered the bathroom. Cocksure that it would be the two of us on the pier with a tumble weed passing by awaiting the crowd that was to come. Alas, I was askew, as … More A Filipino Feat of Fortitude

We most definitely enjoy our travels and trips, but do not think we lay on the beach all day wondering when happy hour ends. Usually, this year more than the last, we are always on the go. Whether it is being packed in a jeepney van or whatever, where we totally felt a little too much skin on skin, or simply touring the islands. Often it requires us to hike until we're bruised and bleeding - because trust me when I say that paths to a waterfall tend to be tricky. Slippery decends, slippery ascends, muddy paths and inbetween the rocks are lurking gaps ready to suck your feet in there in hopes to make you lose balance. In the picture shown - me behind the young guide - we were hiking an hour to and back through a river, ricefields and over rocks. As usual my dearest hops along as nothing but excitements fills her. Bruised as her clumsy self got, the next day we'd visit two more waterfalls. I am just appreciating the excitement and willingness she has and shows to spend almost most of the travels exhausting ourselves to get somewhere. Mahal na mahal kita ❤

"Some people say everything comes down to luck.... What I believe is that the most minor event -- even a butterfly flapping its wings -- can affect everything. Because once that seemingly insignificant event happens... It sets everything else in motion." - J.D Such as meeting the love of your life out of nowhere. P.S. I have left Bohol awile ago, yet I still felt it worth to share a few pictures from our visit. One of them being this gorgeous butterfly. #bohol #philippines #travel #traveller #dutchie #filipina #butterfly
